Steps to our view deck and rocky beach
Casa Santa Barbara has a small private beach on the property. The beach is part of the Batya Marine Sanctuary. It's a mix of sand and rocky reef. Normally the water is extremely clear and calm and suited for diving or swimming.
The best time to swim is high tide, when the sea comes up to the stairs and submerges about 4 steps. At low tide, it's enjoyable to tide pool and discover and photograph some of the tropical animal and plant life native to the area.
